History Group

The East Clandon History Group maintains an archive of historical material for the benefit of residents. You can add material at any time, especially when you move away which can consist of house reports, family records, old photos, maps, postcards, letters, memorabilia and memoirs. We particularly want to record older residents recollections and old memories of life in and around East Clandon.

The Surrey History Centre (shs@s*rreycc.gov.uk) in Woking holds a vast library of local history and archaeology and should be your first contact for research relating to the area.

Our mission is to make sure that East Clandon history does not end up in the skip when you move house. Remember that what does not seem that long ago, will be history one day.
